MY INTEREST IN ALZHEIMER’S RESEARCH Aside from my law practice, I enjoy directing my community service efforts towards promoting public awareness of the problems and issues associated with Alzheimer’s disease. For over a decade, I have been active in Alzheimer’s issues. My focus is currently on Alzheimer’s Research. Senate President John McKay appointed me to the Board of Directors of the State funded Byrd Alzheimer's Institute in 2003 and on August 26, 2006, Governor Bush reappointed me to the Board.
